What Apple have taught us and why you should listen
One thing is a fact: when Steve Jobs stands up and talks about the world of Apple, it’s with a passion that is rarely matched. Better still, Jobs has never dropped the ball. He’s always been at the top of the game, and with his age the opposite of what often happens to older people has occurred: he has fallen even more in love with new-school technology. In turn we have come to love what Mr Jobs says, and consider him as the official word on all things technological.
From office companies which handle secure shredding to mega-companies which rely on speedy computer interfaces, Apple have become the only choice. Why is this? There are a few reasons, so let’s list them below:
Apple pump money into research facilities which look to a brighter future, one where everything is even better than what it is now
-
Apple are always stylish. While style isn’t everything, Apple have found the ideal compromise between what looks good and what is most practical.
-
Apple are leaders: nobody can argue with this one – it’s something which has been obvious for a very long time and looks set to remain the case, even if Steve Jobs is stepping down from his up-until-now very public role; in short, Apple decide the future and other companies copy it. Which makes it all the more impressive that Apple have kept their cool and have generally left other companies to their own devices.
-
Apple aren’t just about making money: this is a controversial one, but nevertheless that’s our opinion – while the form are obviously in it for the money, they are also in it for the innovation. Every single year, Apple pump money into research facilities which look to a brighter future, one where everything is even better than what it is now. The fact of the matter is this: the company will not stop – they’re addicted to the idea of making technological progress, and so long as they keep doing that they will have many happy fans.
-
Apple back their devices up with help and information which many companies don’t bother to do: this is extremely helpful, and something which others would do well to emulate.
-
Apple put what they know in the public eye: although they have a habit of keeping some things under wraps for what seems like a lifetime, they are very much a company who keep themselves in the public eye. This keeps things exciting, because the consumer gets to follow the progress of each invention. No wonder that by the time they’re available, we’re all camped outside the Apple store to get our hands on the next big thing.
