Love The Kindle? Read This…

Here at the Apple Mac blog, we sort of hate Amazon and the Kindle. The Kindle is like our Ice-man (we’re talking Top-Gun here) to our Maverick: we have respect deep down for him, but on the surface it’s all war.
The problem is, Kindle is dominating the market place when it comes to ebook readers. Although it has to be said that there is a huge buzz around the new ipad 2 coming out very soon, there’s also a lot of buzz around the future of the Kindle. Hmm, that pesky Kindle monster…
But then again, maybe the competition is healthy? After all, it’s good that we’re forced to try and better ourselves. In the world of ebook readers that means we’re constantly striving for ways to improve our service and make the reading experience with us that much better.
Obviously, if you are going to just buy books then you’ll prefer the Kindle, but allow me to point out the benefits of the ipad:
1) It’s got colour! Yes, colour! And not only can you update your blog in COLOUR and get Free Antivirus Downloads , but you can also red magazines and yes, they actually look like magazines. The Kindle, on the other hand, is grey scale like something out of the 1980s. Still, let’s not get too bitchy…
2) The other benefit of the ipad is, of course, the fact that it has COLOUR video. And, as the internet access in the world reaches a level where you can even get in the shower and get your emails, that’s a good thing. The Amazon network, on the other hand, may be free and worldwide but it is hardly reliable. And besides that, email and internet access on the Kindle may be free but it also in its infancy and still needs a lot of improvement before it reaches a suitable standard.
